A free
text Search will access the entire database, looking for similarities
from each word you input against all words in the database. If you
know precisely what you are looking for this is probably the easiest
search to use.

1.
Search for words:
Use
the text box to input the words that best describe your request. (back

2.Multiple
word search as:
This
pull down menu acts using Boolean logic, you can define whether you
are looking to match one word or all words, for instance if you are
looking for an image of a hip OR thigh, then use the OR function.

if you
are looking for a case involving a bone cyst of the lumbar spine,
then you should type 'bone cyst lumbar spine' and select AND. (back

Search with sub strings?:
This
pull down menu allows you to change whether you want to search for
part of a word or only for the complete word itself. (back

Using the skeleton will refine your search to images pertaining to
that anatomical area. (For more information on using the skeleton

After you input your search criteria then click on the 'Search' button
to start the search. Your results will be displayed in the case viewer
(for more information on the case viewer click here).
Please be patient whilst the database is accessed as it might take
a little time depending on the number of results matching your requirements.
