The Navigation Bar is to be found at the top of the screen. Clicking
on any of the buttons at the top will allow you to quickly change
from one search tool to another

'Free Text Search' opens up the free text search engine. This is
the default search tool, and as such is the one that opens up when
you click on the 'search' button (For more information on how to
use the free text search click here)

'Case Search' opens up a slighty more complex search engine, where
you use pull down menus to define your search criteria. (For more
information on the case search click here)

'Image Search' allows you to search the databse for individual images,
like the case search option it uses pull down menus which you use
to define your search criteria. (For more information on the image
search click here)

'Options' allows you to refine your search to only search for a
particular case, image or to refine the number of results returned
per search. This is compatible with all of the search tools. (For
more information on the search options click here)
5.
'Help' opens up the Site Guide, so if at any point you are having
difficulty using any of the search tools then click on this button.
You can also access these help pages by using the 'Site Guide' button
in the navigation bar to the left.
2.The
results for your search will allways appear in this mauve area. Only
12 results will be displayed at any one time, but you are able to
navigate through all of the results. Please bear in mind that the
more results that are found for your search will affect the time it
takes for the results to be displayed. (For more information on the

This area will allways be where you find the search tools, This is
the only part of the screen that will change, but the layout will
allways remain consistant
